Japanese Nuclear Power Plant Radioactive Fallout

Sunday, March 13th, 2011
How to Protect Yourself / Children from the Japanese Nuclear Plant Fallout

Dear SKY readers,

My uncle sent this email to me this morning, and I felt the information to be timely and helpful especially for those in Hawaii.  We already know to eat a healthy diet, now our lives depend on it even more!

Remember, Positive Vibrations and Love are so important too – so be vigilant with your mind/ego and remember who the Real Master of your thoughts, feelings and pictures is.

———————————From Ed Delate ——————–

I just did some research on the fallout from the Japanese Nuke Plant Accident due to the earthquake.  First of all, don’t get too worried.  It is those close to the plant that should be real worried.  Because of upper atmosphere wind dispersion, we are pretty safe in the US.  The gamma radiation has a very short life.  Nonetheless, the next 2 to 5 days, there will be radioactive iodine circling the globe.

To take precaution, eat vegetables and fruits high in iodide.  Natural Iodide will not allow the nuclear particles to be absorbed into the thyroid (thus preventing cancer down the road).  Also, take Potassium Iodide tablets.  Children are most in need of natural iodide.

The best fruits and vegetables for high iodide are:

Pineapples

Coconuts

Strawberries

Apricots

Soy products

Spinach

There is more info on line.

Let the nieces and nephews know, too.  Tell them not to overreact, but to just take precautions.

Have a good St. Patrick’s Day!

Sending Love to the Waters of the Ocean

Friday, March 11th, 2011
  From the Kauai MuseLetter…
ss=”gmail_quote”>
"No matter what the outer world may look like,
the silence within the heart remains untouched;
remember the silence, and the peace"

A brief note via tek:

The Lightworkers (ie. ALL OF US) managed to temper the last tsunami to 9". We can do it again. Just send pure unconditional LOVE to the tsunami. The water will reflect your intentions, just as last time.

MAHALO!
Tek

ps. yes, let's quell the waters; send blessings, peace and even-ness to the ocean; peace begins inside, in the heart, and then the "outer" reality will reflect calmness; take the peaceful Presence of your Heart with you as you go to sleep this night

"Thank you, water, I love you Water"

Thursday, February 10th, 2011
The Hawaiians have an important message for displaced native peoples everywhere – don't give up, don't give in, Unite, be one and take the upper hand in mental attitude. As a person of partial indigenous blood, I feel disconnected from my tribe of heritage, yet strongly pulled to Hawaiian soil.  I will lend my energy, intention and thoughts in support of Hawaiians

Please read up on this site and if you care…then participate.

Midnite Returns: 100% Roots Reggae from St. Croix Kuhio Lounge – 2/2

Tuesday, February 1st, 2011
The Kaua’i MuseLetter
"HeartBeat of Kaua'i"

Midnite Returns to Kaua'i

Come celebrate Black History Month with one of largest names in the reggae scene. Roots reggae rockers, Midnite, from St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands, return to the Garden Island.

The concert will be on Feb. 2 at the Kuhio Lounge in the Aston Aloha Hotel in Kapaa. Midnite has been coming to the Hawaiian Islands for over 6 years and they have performed Kauai many times, the last being at the One Love Gardens for over 800 people.
Midnite is considered to be one of the most popular reggae bands touring today and has a loyal following in the reggae and Rastafarian movement. Midnite is known to play real roots reggae music which originally came from Jamaica. Not only do they preach Rastafarian life in their music, they live it. They are true Rastafarians who practice Vegetarianism and hold to strict diets for spiritual and health reasons. Their songs are filled with deep and political issues regarding the Rastafarian movement and the struggles we all face in today’s modern world.

Midnite's profound and innovative lyrics are sincere and deeply rooted, representing their culture. Their CD recordings and live performances have reggae and non reggae listeners open to the messages they bring. Midnite explodes in live performances with sets that often exceed 3 hours. Their vigorous, weighty sound, driven by the punchy bass lines creates a vibe that penetrates straight to the heart. These epic musical communions have earned Midnite an enormous following throughout the roots community.

Opening guests for the concert will be Kauai’s favourite reggae band, The Lambsbread. Bringing pure fyah to the stage, lead singer Kaya delivers a message of upliftment and positivity to the crowd. Adding her angelic voice and sweet harmonies to the music is female vocalist for the Lambsbread, Nadia. On stage they are backed by the Fyah Red Band which consists of some of the top musicians in the Hawaii reggae scene.

The group has had several international hits, starting with their first single from Zion High Records “Love in the House” 2004. The tune was released on 7in vinyl from Kingston, Jamaica, and the single was heard worldwide. The video for the tune has reached half a million views on YouTube and is watched by fans from Brazil, France, Netherlands, Germany, US, Hawaii and more. Their next hit came with the tune “Mountain Top” featuring Prezident Brown, released by Lustre Kings 2006. Still in heavy rotation on Hawaii radio, this tune came out on the Red Razor compilation and spent 3 months in the top 50 selling reggae albums at Itunes peaking at # 8.

Illegal to grow an organic garden?!

Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010
UPDATE ON S510- It passed the Senate unanimously yesterday

Aloha all,
Senate bill 510 was introduced March 3 2009 and has been quietly gathering support ever since. Newest Status: it passed the Senate Unanimously yesterday and was passed on to committee for amendment considerations.
From there it goes to the house. The goal is to have it signed by Obama by the end of the lame duck session

For those of you who haven't gotten my email regarding S510 and two house bills, Here is a retransmission. with links to videos by Glen Beck and others.

If ever there was a life altering legislation, this is it .09:51 am November 18, 2010 Congressional leaders are discussing strategies for completing a food safety bill for the president's signature before the lame-duck session ends. There are several bills on the US congressional docket, some are on the floor for vote TODAY! S510, HR 875,

They allow:
1. Making growing an organic garden, for your own consumption or sharing or selling ALL OF THE ABOVE: Illegal.
2. Making Small farms which will not be able to comply with the NEW GOVERNMENT AGENCY regulations because of huge costs, illegal.
3. Making production of any food that does not use commercial fertilizers illegal.
4. Saving seed from your produce illegal
5. Paperwork for both producer AND consumer for any food bought without a bar code on it mandatory FOR EACH FOOD ITEM BOUGHT so it can be traced back to the producer. Mandatory information includes: when and where it was purchased, when and where you intend to ingest it, etc.

Bottom Line: Those not in compliance with this NEW GOVERNMENT AGENCY BEING FORMED,(and headed by the Monsanto  advisor in Obama FDA agency) can have their land ceased, sold and fines enforced of up to $1,000,000 PER INCIDENT.

HOW TO STOP IT:

Sign this petition at Citizens for Health:
www.Congress.org and type in your zip code in the box in the upper right hand corner.

2) Click on your Senator's name, and then on the contact tab for their phone number. You can also call the Capitol Switchboard and ask to be directly connected to your Senator's office: 202-224-3121.

3) Once connected ask to speak to the legislative staff person responsible for agriculture. If they are unavailable leave a voice mail message. Be sure to include your name and phone number.

4) Begin with "I am a constituent of Senator/Congressman___________ . I ask that he/she " then express your NON support of any and all legislation current (including S510 and HR 875)  and future which would prohibit growing your own food of choice in the way the constitution of the U.S. provides.

You may also wish to explain that you oppose the Food Safety Modernization Act in its entirety, and it is a destructive law that will destroy the future of food in America.

"I am a constituent of Senator___________. I ask that he/she support the Tester Amendment to the food safety bill. The Tester Amendment will exempt the safest, small, owner-operator farms and food facilities and farmers who direct market their products to consumers, stores or restaurants. Food safety legislation should not create inappropriate and costly regulatory barriers to family farms and the growing healthy food movement in the drive to crack down on corporate bad actors. Please support the Tester Amendment and market opportunities for small and mid-sized family farms, and small food processing facilities."

This type of legislation has been going on since March 2009 in one bill after another as witnessed in this video . There is no evidence that these people spearheaded by Monsanto are going to stop until they succeed.  It is up to US if we want to feed our families anything but GMO's to stop them again and again.

Aloha and Mahalo Nui Loa for your interest in keeping our food as God intended it,
-Please help Save the Farmers and protect the food you love!!!
Big Mahalos to Lynda Driscoll for compiling this info!!!

Alternative Power: Making Use Of Energy Star Water Heaters

Monday, November 1st, 2010

Energy Star water heaters entered the market in January 2009, with only five models available. They made good sales for anyone trying to improve their home’s energy efficiency or for new building construction. Depending on the house, the climate and the heating system, the home owner can make savings between 7.5 and 5.5 percent. More and more people are expected to start using Energy Star water heaters as alternative power sources because they can save a huge amount of natural gas and electricity, not to mention that millions of tons of carbon dioxide no longer get in the atmosphere.

1. A primary model of Energy Star water heaters is that with a high-efficiency gas storage design.

2. A different model of Energy water heaters use gas condensing to capture heat.

3. ‘Heat water on demand’ is the main feature of another type of Energy Star water heaters; they can be used for the entire house, and they don’t have an incorporated tank.

4. Heat pump Energy Star water heaters are another viable option. Electricity is used to take the heat from the air and transfer it to the water.

5. Last but not least, we ought to mention solar water heaters that come in a variety of models with expert certification.

The Energy Star water heaters accepted for the tax credit include the solar water heaters, the electric heat pump water heaters and the gas, oil or propane water heaters (with or without tanks). You will not qualify for a tax credit with an electric storage tank water heater and the electric tankless water heater. The tax credit saves around 30 percent of the costs of the heaters and labor or installation costs may be included, depending on the case .

It is important to check the certification of the equipments that you purchase, to make sure that you meet all the requirements of the federal tax credit program, and you don’t face rejection from the authorities in charge. Energy Star water heaters are available from several well-reputed designers, but the real trick is to find the one that best meets your home conditions, the specifics of the location, the family needs and the climate (just like the case if you’re going to build a solar panel).

When you read forum posts or Internet reviews, it is ideal to find out what people ?»¿in your state are utilizing and how pleased they are with a certain model. You’re most likely to get some answers to your queries, if you only know where to look. It’s much easier to come up with the proper model of Energy Star water heaters as alternative power source for your own home.
