A Spiritual Conspiracy ~ Angels of light

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010

Thank you to dear friend for sending this to me so that I might share it with the SKY network as well…This resonates well with my being and is the articulation of the secret hope I’ve held in my heart that change on the individual level is part of a collective movement toward Transformation of the heavens and the earth. Enjoy and take heart! xo Zhenya

A SPIRITUAL CONSPIRACY

On the surface of the world right now there is
war and violence and things seem dark.
But calmly and quietly, at the same time,
something else is happening underground
An inner revolution is taking place
and certain individuals are being called to a higher light.
It is a silent revolution.
From the inside out. From the ground up.
This is a Global operation.
A Spiritual Conspiracy.
There are sleeper cells in every nation on the planet.
You won’t see us on the T.V.
You won’t read about us in the newspaper
You won’t hear about us on the radio
We don’t seek any glory
We don’t wear any uniform
We come in all shapes and sizes, colors and styles
Most of us work anonymously
We are quietly working behind the scenes
in every country and culture of the world
Cities big and small, mountains and valleys,
in farms and villages, tribes and remote islands
You could pass by one of us on the street
and not even notice
We go undercover
We remain behind the scenes
It is of no concern to us who takes the final credit
But simply that the work gets done
Occasionally we spot each other in the street
We give a quiet nod and continue on our way
During the day many of us pretend we have normal jobs
But behind the false storefront at night
is where the real work takes a place
Some call us the Conscious Army
We are slowly creating a new world
with the power of our minds and hearts
We follow, with passion and joy
Our orders come from the Central Spiritual Intelligence

We are dropping soft, secret love bombs when no one is looking
Poems ~ Hugs ~ Music ~ Photography ~ Movies ~ Kind words ~
Smiles ~ Meditation and prayer ~ Dance ~ Social activism ~ Websites
Blogs ~ Random acts of kindness…
We each express ourselves in our own unique ways
with our own unique gifts and talents
Be the change you want to see in the world
That is the motto that fills our hearts
We know it is the only way real transformation takes place
We know that quietly and humbly we have the
power of all the oceans combined
Our work is slow and meticulous
Like the formation of mountains
It is not even visible at first glance
And yet with it entire tectonic plates
shall be moved in the centuries to come
Love is the new religion of the 21st century
You don’t have to be a highly educated person
Or have any exceptional knowledge to understand it
It comes from the intelligence of the heart
Embedded in the timeless evolutionary pulse of all human beings
Be the change you want to see in the world
Nobody else can do it for you
We are now recruiting
Perhaps you will join us
Or already have.
All are welcome
The door is open

The Tax Man Cometh

Saturday, April 17th, 2010

I’ll drink to that! ~Z

KAHEA email banner
Aloha ,

So, the time to pay the tax man has come and gone. If you, like me, hate paying the Man, and aren’t really thrilled with how your money is being spent (can we say “bailout”?)–then here’s a way to do things differently in 2010: giving, instead of paying!

Will you give today?

Don’t want to give your money to the Man?ng> Hate seeing your money go to bailouts and buyouts? Make your tax deductible gift today and support the things that are really too big to fail–like the health of our planet!

Making your tax deductible gift to KAHEA means YOU get to choose how your money is being spent towards the public good! This is a time when Hawaiian lands and waters, public trust “ceded” lands are under incredible threat: from illegal sale, de facto privatization, and from unwise and inappropriate development. Practitioners continue to be alienated from lands and waters by wrongheaded and racist land use policy, while many native landscapes and species move closer to extinction. Toxic facilities continue to be disproportionately sited in Native Hawaiian communities, while Hawaiians suffer some of the worst health among people in their own homeland. We can choose differently, and those choices are within reach! Your gift helps make the difference.

We hold in hand–collectively–a vision of a better way of doing things, a more just and truly sustainable Hawai’i, where people, culture and native ecosystems survive and thrive. Over and over we have shown that when we show up, when we use our voices, when we take action, amazing things can happen.

Facing some of the wealthiest individuals and institutions in the world, and some of the highest paid lawyers and lobbyists in Hawai’i, there is a grassroots movement surging forward, demanding more, building a new kind of box. So, rather than paying for “too big to fail” bailouts in 2010, why not invest in some good ol’ grassroots action by the little guy? Your gift makes an incredible difference. Please give today!

Mahalo nui,
Miwa

Help Stop Sarah Palin's "Nature" show on Discovery Channel

Thursday, April 15th, 2010

Dear SKY,

This just in from CREDO:
The media conglomerate Discovery Communications used to be known for their earth-friendly offerings. But they’ve just paid millions to Sarah Palin to host a "nature" show, despite her decidedly anti-environmental stance: She vocally advocates for habitat-destroying oil drilling, she denies global warming is a human-caused threat, and she spearheaded a brutal wolf-slaughter program as governor of Alaska.

It’s one thing if Fox News gives Sarah Palin a platform. But when Discovery Communications — home to the Discovery Channel, the "Planet Earth" series, the Science Channel, Animal Planet, and TreeHugger.com — gives a show to Sarah Palin, it undercuts everything the Discovery brand has come to represent.

Anti-environmentalism has no place in the Discovery Communications lineup. Join me in demanding that the company cancel "Sarah Palin’s Alaska" before it airs. Just click on the link below to send your message.

An idea whose time has come

Monday, March 29th, 2010

For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they didn’t pay into Social Security, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform that is being considered…in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn’t seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don’t care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop. This is a good way to do that. It is an idea whose time has come.

Have each person contact a minimum of Twenty people on their Address list, in turn ask each of those to do likewise..

In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one proposal that really should be passed around.

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution:

“Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States “.

Kona Kai Ea Surfrider Chapter Inaugurates!

Friday, September 19th, 2008

Hi SKY ~ Sorry this news is reaching you almost a month late, but as they say, better late than never!

This sent to me by Dr. Rick Bennett, Co-chair

Aloha,
The Kona Kai Ea chapter of the Surfrider Foundation had its inaugural meeting last thursday night.  It was well attended and the excitement in room was amazing.  We heard about the amazingly good work of Surfrider Maui from Jan Roberson and about the threats and opportunities  to Keep it Blue from Rick.   The members of the Executive Committee all took part to make the event a Big Wave.
We announced 3 campaigns and a philosophy for our chapter
1.  Keep it Blue… water quality and watershed education, monitoring and outreach.  It is sad to see our water getting greener in some places.  The time is now to stop it and we must address the landscape scale of this issue
2.  Keep it Clean… Our beach clean up program will begin Sept 13 at Kohanaiki  Pine trees in concert with the Ladies Surfing Contest.  Come help us clean and win prizes for the most trash.
3.  Keep it Fun and Funded  … is our plan to have fun in our mission with concerts, dance, photo contests and raise money to make it all happen and central to all our programs we embrace and we are enriched by the wisdom and guidance of the Hawaiian Culture and will follow the ways of the very first surfers as we malama ka aina.

This is an invitation to join our Kona Kai Ea Surfrider  and our  Yahoo group.
This will be the best way to stay connected to us and for us to communicate with each other.

Plastic Bags – PowerPoint Presentation -> Education, Inspiration, Action

Watch this – only 1 minute – Reality Check on Using Plastic Bags - Power point presentation

Hi all

I am sending this and hoping you can all take the time to read and look at it.  It is one of the best and most important emails I have received lately and just had to send it to you.  Hopefully we can actually make the effort to stop using plastic bags.

Thanks

If you are looking for a lightweight, sturdy, reusable plastic grocery bag alternative, check out the Chico bag (aff).  They are awesome!  Scrunch up into their own little tiny sac the size of a cell phone.  Fits into your purse or clips onto your belt easily.  You wouldn’t believe how much these little bags can hold.  I am only recommending because I use them very happily.  Let me know if you have any other reusable bag brands you love.  Aloha!
