Ka `Ohana o Honaunau Meeting – May 23, 2010

Monday, May 10th, 2010

Aloha friends & family,

I wanted to alert you all that the next meeting of Ka `Ohana o Honaunau will be at noon on Sunday, May 23 at Honaunau Bay.  A potluck will follow the meeting so bring something delicious to share :)

We will be planning the next Malama Honaunau event scheduled in October 2010.  If you are interested in reading the minutes of the meeting, please leave a comment below and I will connect you with Linda Morgan who will provide them for you.

I wanted to let you all know that even if you do not live in Hawaii anymore, but you still love her and want to do your part to conserve and protect her, you can still find ways to help.  I will be looking into ways to make this more accessible to all of you including online petitionsletter writing to public figures and politicians in Hawaii and the U.S., making online donations, adding your media and your voice to the collective voice of those standing firm to take back our home.

For now, what you can do is stay tuned – keep reading these emails and posts as they come, and be ready to take action when the infrastructure is ready for you.  Or better yet, don’t wait – contact me if you have an idea you’d like to share and let’s get started!

Mahalo,

Zhenya

Happy New Year of the Tiger South Kona Youth!

Thursday, January 14th, 2010

Happy New Year South Kona Youth!

This letter is in dedication to my Soul Brother Conor Z. Murphy, who has passed from this world last year.  Conor, you are not forgotten.  Thank you for bringing the people that love and care about you together.  I feel your pain and I you called me and told me you needed to feel more love and support to make it another step on this difficult earth in this difficult life.  I understand precisely how it feels to no longer wish to exist, as if one more breath is absolutely not possible.  Brother, my Spirit will reach up into the ethers as a beacon and guide for you.  Through my own processing of your death, you and I together — and with the others — we will find the place of rest and peace that you could not find in life.  This is not the end of the line for you, nor are you cursed or damned for your choice, no matter what anyone says.  The Creator & Destroyer One is all forgiving, and you are forgiven and held.  a-Ho! Mitakwe Oyasin.

From Your Sister Zhenya who Loves You Eternally, beyond life and beyond death into the Infinite.

———————–

To my Friends…nay, my South Kona FAMILY,

I hope you are ready for 2010, to work for positive change in your life and your community.  The moment to live and give and love is now.  The moment to be a better person is now.

If you really want to be a part of making the world a better place, then commit to cultivate self-reflection and honesty with your self

Self-Reflection and Self-Honesty are important functions in your Soul Survival.

My definition of Self-Reflection & Self-Honesty is the ability of an individual (that means you) to take in the impressions and reactions you notice coming back at you from the world, bringing them into the sacred rooms of your soul (which is naturally grounded and knows its purpose with clarity), and being honest with yourself about whether refinement on the part of yourself is needed or not.  And then actually doing it.  It’s one step beyond knowing right from wrong.

Please stay open to seeing the Truth about your personality with discernment.  Discernment is like a higher form of judgement.

For example, you lie to a girl to get into her pants.  She eventually finds out and is either hurt or enraged (hell hath no fury…) Do you continue the game playing, rationalizing that it’s her responsibility to know better than to believe you, or do you become sociopathic and start to believe your own lies (at least in the moment you are going after what you want), or do you philosophize away the responsibility for your own behavior?  If you can reflect on her responses, and be honest with yourself about whether or not you are being a positive force in the world, and make changes in your behavior for the good of all…then my friend, you have achieved a state of balance within.  You will become conscionable and thus noble – having honor.

Please remain flexible to exploring the possibility of changing yourself and observing the responses that come back at you with these adjustments…does it feel right for you, are you  becoming a happier person?  Love and compassion for yourself means being aware of how you affect others, and caring enough to show each man, woman and child due respect by making your interactions with them comfortable, yet still speaking and standing in your Truth. After all, we are all one.  So what you do to another, you do to yourself. I’m not saying it doesn’t take effort and vigilance.

If you don’t know what your Truth is, it starts with the protection and care of all children!!! From there, you can learn and explore and experience and note and observe and make adjustments and changes as necessary.

Good Luck ~ Much Love,

Zhenya

Are you a Wild Child? A new online magazine for our kind folk

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

Hi SKY ~
I hope all is well and beautiful in your worlds, despite the crumbling of society from it’s rotten cores…I wanted to share with you all a new online magazine that I personally find refreshing and informative…

Wild Child Magazine - “We share essential practical information and resources that strengthen Family Values. ”

WildChild covers a lot of the issues that mainstream ignores, but we as the enlightened, uprising youth know to be some of the more ‘real’ stories of the day. Like what the heck did happen on Wall Street with the stock markets? Is the news actually giving us the real story?

Anyway, you’ll find commentary, photos and videos (some are downright hilarious) on current events, postings about new technology (a car that runs on air?!), info about UFOs, as well as a rich community of avant garde thinking people – artists, activists, techno-whizzes, musicians, and beautiful people (photos of some hawtie women). You can join the community and post your own videos, photos and discussions. For those of you in my blogging online class, this is a good way to gain additional link backs to your own blog or web site. I’ll wax some philosophy on how the internet is like Grandmother spiders web some other time, but for now let the analogy sink in – we need to connect with each other :~)

http://www.wildchildmagazine.com

Check ‘em out, enjoy and join up (don’t forget to add me as your friend when you do join) and have your own voice heard at Wild Child Magazine!

Love, love, love is STILL the answer~*

Hawaii Board of Education Election on Sat. in Kona

Friday, September 19th, 2008

Linda Morgan has sent me this email about the Hawaii Board of Education Candidates:

Hi friends,
I don’t mean to tell you how to vote on Saturday for our Big Island representative on the Board of Education, but I spent almost 3 hours on Monday searching for info on the 4 candidates running for this office, and it’s really hard to find information, so I want to share what I found.

Herb Watanabe has been our rep. for a very long time, and is definitely part of the disfunction of the Board of Ed., so he should only get our votes if we believe we have great schools, and I do not.

Bryant has not filed statements anywhere I could find online, so I assume if he is not competent enough to make his platform available, he cannot adequately represent us.

Walsh made some pretty silly statements about how he would improve education in Hawaii. He seems to be most concerned with “keeping order” in the classroom. The problems go way beyond poor student behavior!

Sanborn will get my vote, although with reservations. He supports decentralization, a good thing in my opinion. He also supports equal funding for charter schools, a pono idea. He sounds qualified and mostly on the right track in his statements. My reservations are about his interest in exploring vouchers.

If you haven’t had time to explore these candidates, I hope this note will help you make your decision.

Aloha,
Linda Morgan

Spread the word, yo!
