Step 1: Set the Intention
Greetings & Aloha South Kona Youth,

For those who missed the “presentation” given by my friends from Brasil last Friday night, real quick - the event included a slideshow and them speaking about their work with their organization for social change, OPA – Organization for Permaculture and Art. About 20 of you showed up, about 1/3 of you were Brasilian Youth. I love you each, one and all, for your amazing faces and strong love. We ate good food, listened, talked, played capioera and some authentic Brasilian music in a gorgeously decked out house. Thank you everyone who did make it (and those who tried but weren’t able to get in the gate!). After hearing Yarrow and Isabella speak about their amazing work with impoverished Brasilian kids – and seeing their photos, we were all inspired to bring something similar here to Hawaii.
Yay! Everyone I’ve talked to thus far is pumped and ready for action. The most common question I keep getting is “What Next?” Honestly, I am almost overwhelmed with the good-will and the number of Youth that are tuned in. But now is not the time for being overwhelmed, now is the time for opening the HEART, getting creative, making a plan and taking steady, consistent, measured action.
Our first task at hand is setting the intention and keeping the interest and passion alive. Below I’ve begun to outline the intention, please feel free to make your suggestions to make this intention more accurately reflect the diverse perspectives present here among this group:
We intend, as the South Kona Big Island Youth to:
- Take action to protect our Island Home and Planet Home in a loving, conscious way
- Strive to look at the reflections we create in our outer world, and to harmonize our inner worlds
- Know that abundance and prosperity are reality
- Help others reconnect with the sacred spirit of the land and ocean
- Share abundance with the keiki by treating them right, showing them the way
- …Please share your ideas and thoughts to help shape our intention for this group, institute
- Keep the Passion Alive in Your Hearts – Yes it is the “Cause”
And last but not least, in loving tribute to my awesome buddy Jacob, as promised, photos of some beautiful Goddesses for those of you who are secure enough to appreciate some Divine Feminine boobies without getting your panties all in a bunch (for the rest of you – well, just don’t look then, fine)…here’s the link to my online photo album – I’ve got more coming so make sure you open my messages!
